Last week, legislators moved over 1,400 bills out of their respective committees due to last Friday's committee deadline.  IFCA testified on pieces of legislation last week in committee. Despite the committee deadline being last Friday, the House still considered making amendments in committees this week before shifting their focus to advancing bills on the House floor. The Senate was off this week but still held numerous subject matter hearings out of Chicago.

The next major deadline for the General Assembly is the House and Senate Third Reading deadline on April 11th. All bills on the Senate and House floor must either move over to the opposite chamber or receive a deadline extension to continue through the legislative process by this deadline.
